I used to say I would never teach. Then I taught for 30 years.
I used to say I would never stop roller skating. But somewhere between raising two kids and working full time, skating disappeared.
I used to say I would never grow old. But I did. (As if the mention of roller skating didn’t give that away already.)
I used to say I had no need of a mythical god. But then I met Jesus.
And I used to say I would never write a book. Well, this is not a book exactly, but I am working on one. Or two. Maybe three. Actually ten. Bits and pieces of my books may end up in my blogs from time to time, but mostly this blog is a way to share stores of our amazing God and challenge Christians to be whole-heartedly devoted to Him.
I stay busy caring for my granddaughter, writing, painting rocks, gardening, sewing, journaling, and making new friends. I dream of owning a beach-front home where I can hunt shark teeth and beach glass every day but the house will need to be built up on stilts, have hurricane-strength (CAT 5) reinforced walls, and have a safe house built into the middle of it. Until then, I live at the foot of the mountains in Virginia with my husband and three rescued dogs.
Hi Linda. I’m glad to have stumbled across your blog! I grew up in southeast Florida and have family in NW Florida. 😎 I’m looking forward to following your posts. God bless. Dee

Nice to meet you too! I spent some time reading through several of your posts. I was especially interested in your VIPKIDS posts since I have a teaching background. Your enthusiasm is contagious! I had to stop reading or I would have found myself signing up to be a VIPKIDS teacher myself! I also enjoyed the bookmark story. Keep up the good work!

Aw thanks! Why not sign up?! If you read my blog post here, I have a step by step guide. Many current teachers do VIPKID in the morning to supplement their income! You work as much or as little as you want. 😄

I’ve retired from teaching, and even retired from tutoring. I don’t think I’m ready to jump back into it. But I will think on it.
