Lord, SIL used to be so smart, considering all options before making a decision. Now she seems to be guided by impulse, a lack of impulse control – and that ends up with decisions/actions that cost those around her. When I ask about them or point them out, she’s defensive. If she won’t discuss them with someone before she acts, then I ask that you guide her thinking and that you protect her loved ones from her actions.

The simple believes everything, but the prudent gives thought to his steps. Proverbs 14:15

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice. Proverbs 12:15

An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge. Proverbs 18:15

Lord , I pray that SIL moves away from believing everything she hears and towards giving more thought to her steps. She defends herself, thinks she knows better than everyone around her. I pray that You show her the wisdom in listening to those who would be most affected by her decisions. Lord, she once sought knowledge, and I pray that, with Your help, she will once again seek it.
